Your details, kept simple
This covers the two forms on this site — the early-access list and the owner register. It will be rewritten before the directory itself opens, because bookings would change what we hold.
What we collect
If you join the early-access list: your name, your email address and, if you choose them, the destinations, timing, party size, features and any message you add. If you register a property: your name, email, optional phone number, the property's name and location, what kind of place it is, what it sleeps, whether you already let it, a website if you give one, and your message.
For both we also store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which is how the forms are protected from abuse. The hash cannot be turned back into your address.
What we use it for
Only to contact you about this site: to tell you when it opens, and — if you're an owner — to explain what listing involves. We don't sell or share your details, and there is no newsletter.
Where it's kept
On our own server in the United Kingdom. Submissions are also emailed to our own inbox through Postmark, our email delivery provider, and our mail is hosted by Migadu. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the site is delivered through Bunny's CDN.
How long
Until the directory opens and you've heard from us, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, at any time. Email hello@scottishholidaycottages.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking on it, which is also why there's no cookie banner.
